DES REPORT: Live From LA pt. 2

Last night, our own Lax murda and Ashley bartended at the cut chemist show at Turntable lab on fairfax. People were caught off guard at the fact they were actually carding and they even had a door guy being the stereotypical LA doorguy asshole. With the bar (or in this case, table) staged right at the glasswindow.. voyeurs from fairfax blvd caught a glimpse of a successful turnaround and an even better view of the babies doing there thing. With cameras flashing all around us, us girls took in the festivities and in the usual vodka cranberries/fruitpunch/grapefruit juice/on the rocks.

heres quite a bit of pictures.

FYI: BACKYARD BA$H

Alright yall -- what better way to appreciate the LA summer time other than to throw a house party @ the brownbabie$ mansion. We are keeping it small -- and we dont want underagers or old motherfuckers rolling through because we"re throwing it for our lil brownbaby and Lax's sister, Kiran. So bring a present for her yall, and email banginbirthday@gmail.com for party info. Oh yeah it's on Saturday July 29th and Blu Jemz will be spinnin' all those backyard bangers.

DES REPORT: Live From LA pt. 1

So I flew in from NYC last wed to take care of some legal matters. Knew it was going to be a joyous reunion due to all my girls coming out to see me. Friday night came around and there was a spot at the Roosevelt Hotel. It was perfect for this LA summer; tropicana bar, pretty ladies in sun dresses.. and the brownbabies keeping it sassy and classy with the late night debauchery. With familiar faces decorating the pool area, it was bound to be a good night.

SUMMER TIMEEEEEEEEE...

Summer must Haves:

Natural Sun tans.

Escada's "rockin rio" perfume.

Diets

The Body shop's Mango body butter

Some good ol' fashioned Palmer's cocoa butter spray

spa pedicures (with paraffin wax)

pastel pink or white toe nail polish w/design

an amazing pair of sunglasses, the bigger the better!

margaritas/mojitos/spritzers.

the perfect bronzer (not too orange, and not too sparkley)

Going ALL natural: foundation is a no no. tinted moisturizers are perfect. summer is all about having a natural dewy glow!

Sun screen: For us tattooed folk and extremely white people that burn easily. You know how important it is to keep your sun intake to a minimum. I want to keep the color on my chest as vibrant as possible. I use a natural sunscreen that I found in whole foods which smells like coconut and is absolutely amazing!

Fun: take a break from your stupid job, have a drink smoke some weed eat some carne asada... summer is for being lazy and relaxing on the beach... Do it up big!

- BRi

Old but Gold...

Forgot to post up the ultimate (like totallly brahh) collabo tee we had given out @ our party MILKSHAKE in frisco @ milk bar a couple weeks ago w/ Huf, Diamond, and Mama. I think I have like 2 left...

if you didn't know, those girls on the cable car are us, and yes that's Mac Dre on the top. THIZZZZZZZFACE!

RANDOM BLURB by LAURA.

I remember watching this show when I was 10 years old and it was during summer while I munched on shaved ice and syrup. I use to watch it all day and got mad headaches from sitting there watching reruns. I wonder if this show evolved in this century so many arguments and political trash would start hating on this show. Seems interesting how this show was made in 1980s with the lack of technology, but created ideas for the future... But if I had a sister robot hmm.. mischevious tasks I would command her to do; sew me some clothes, do my homework, make me some tacos, steal candy from the ice cream man .. random shit. But she really was a Smallll wondeerrr..
