Now its been a minute before I've taken my camera out and somewhat documented a store opening. I dont like flash on jeans or dresses and especially the open bars but I do like to document my girls in all their glory and thats exactly what I did on Thurs night. We got invited to check out the fancy store opening of Thousands Elsewhere in good ol Costa Mesa. Its a classy store featuring higher end denim and lovely frocks not to mention their amazing patio to just chill and take a smoke break from shopping.

Coco and I ventured out and decided to scope out this store. We discovered weird snacks like steak on weird ass bread and wine up the wayo. It was a glamorous night and Dj CASIO was spinning the hot tracks.. SO SO DEF anyone?

Then Ashley ventured on over and met up with us in time for the after hours spot right next door, however We didnt hear correctly and somehow ended up down the street. We had to use the restroom right away so intially we didnt really get to check out the spot but once we were out, the vibes of the bar was there and then we realized we werent at the spot but a gay bar and it wasnt even a cool gay bar but a divy kinda sketch bar at that. We booked it and soon came to see where we were supposed to be.. after some drunken laughs and running buckwild in the streets, we ended up at memphis bar. Ha ran into our old friend andy who for some reason thinks everyone wants to fight him.. found out why, good ol drunk andy was getting in everyones face! hahaha I stopped a possible fight in this case for the sake of the music and atmosphere around us.. next time Andy youre on your own leva!

American Apparel has been doing an amazing job of pumping our new cuts and styles that I can't even keep up. My recent favorite though are their Lamé Leggings. They're available in many colors and can be worn in so many different ways. Wear them with some knee to thigh high boots and a loose tri-blend tank and a cute leather jacket, or rock them with some chunky pumps for a more flashy look.

For Fall/Winter 07/08 the leggings trend was brought well into the future. The plain black leggings have become a fashion necessity, but forget the plain black cotton! Leggings, tights, pants and boots alike are livened up by shiny metallics and rubbery skin-hugging materials. It's sexy, and figure flattering as well. You don't have to take my advice, but don't tell me you didn't get a few heads to turn.

If you're like me, you are a fan of Christian Louboutin and his signature red soles on his pumps. Everytime my friend wears her black peep toe pumps with the red soles I get a little envious, but hey I'm not trippin' because what goes on my feet can go on my hands. What the hell am I talking about? The Louboutin Manicure -- black nails with red polish painted on the underside of the nail... it's pretty hot, and pretty easy, and looks classy. Move over French manicures -- this is bangin!

Let me just tell you that Miami is one beautiful city -- South Beach is full of amazing mile tall resort hotels, $20 mojitos, and The Winter Music Conference -- that's what brought me to Miami. If you didn't know, I work at Stones Throw Records, so they brought me out to work at the events we were throwing. We had 3 events - the First one was the Parra Art show @ Arrive, the second was "Hella International" at the Raleigh hotel featuring the Stones Throw DJ's: Peanut Butter Wolf, Madlib, Egon, Jamie Strong, J.Rocc, James Pants, and affiliates, as well as Benji B, and Dj Medhi and Busy P from Ed Banger Records, and A-trak, and lastly the 3rd event was held at the Adidas store with the Stones Throw Djs. My boyfriend runs the LA turntable lab store as well, and he threw the Turntable Lab/Complex Magazine party there as well. Basically all this text is mush -- lets get our photos on. I apologize that it took me 2 weeks to compose this, but I ensure you I've been going camera wild, and have more posts to come for your viewing pleasure!

Undoubtedly one of my favorite designers and probably yours, Marc Jacobs, enters rehab again for drugs and booze, when he relapsed after being sober for 7 years. The day after he revealed his latest Louis Vuitton collection in Paris during Paris' Fashion Week, he immediately left after, and checked himself into rehab. Marc celebrates his 10th year as Creative Director at Louis Vuitton. On a good note, this year, Marc is expected to launch a lower-priced line, M3, which will "boast lower price points than his other collections and ensure his presence in all areas of the retail sector."

Last night we headed to the Temp One Exhibition in LA, in honor of a Los Angeles native graffiti artist who is struggling in the hospital. It was pretty amazing to see the whole LA community come together, donating, and artist from all over Cali donated amazing pieces.

Unfortunately we ran late and missed the opening reception to the Heart Throb gallery which held Miss Van and other female artist. But we have until April too check it out, and so should you!

In case you didn't know, Michael Jackson is a glorified GOD in Japan. The King of Pop arrived in Narita, Japan on March 4th, where he held a "Fan Appreciation" party later in the evening. Jackson invited a small amount of "privileged" (in his words) fans to attend a gathering where the attendees could pay $3,500 to shake his hand and have 30-seconds with the pop star. Chump change, right? Is it just me or is that absolutely ludicrous?!...yet sort of fascinating. Reporters speculate Jackson is holding these parties in an attempt to crawl out of his financial plummet. L.A. certainly has it's perks, you can drive 45 minutes west to Venice beach or drive an hour and a half East towards the snowy mountains. Weird, but very normal due to the fact that Los Angles has amazing weather all year round, plus global warming is in effect too :( I went up to Mountain High in Wrightwood on Tuesday for a quick last minute run before all the snow turned into water. A 5-year season veteran and I was still anxious/nervous to hit up the rails and boxes. I had a strong reminiscent feeling when I got on the lifts, because I spent my whole 2005 winter on that mountain.
Next season it's on.

Just knowing that, I feel a little more whole because women, all over the world, have contributed lots to the world and society and it is great knowing that we can have a special day, as well as month (in the US) to commemorate our importance -- even though we know we are very important 365 24/7. Don't take this wrong dudes, we ain't being sexist, because we know we need you as well, so celebrate this day and month with us and remember how much women have done for you -- mothers, daughters, sisters, teachers, doctors, designers, models, inventors, and what a man can do a woman can. Many from a younger generation feel that 'all the battles have been won for women' while many feminists from the 1970's know only too well the longevity and ingrained complexity of patriarchy. With more women in the boardroom, greater equality in legislative rights, and an increased critical mass of women's visibility as impressive role models in every aspect of life, one could think that women have gained true equality. The unfortunate fact is that women are still not paid equally to that of their male counterparts, women still are not present in equal numbers in business or politics, and globally women's education, health and the violence against them is worse than that of men.

However, great improvements have been made. We do have female astronauts and prime ministers, school girls are welcomed into university, women can work and have a family, women have real choices. And so the tone and nature of IWD has, for the past few years, moved from being a reminder about the negatives to a celebration of the positives.

Annually on 8 March, thousands of events are held throughout the world to inspire women and celebrate their achievements. While there are many large-scale initiatives, a rich and diverse fabric of local activity connects women from all around the world ranging from political rallies, business conferences, government activities and networking events through to local women's craft markets, theatric performances, fashion parades and more.

Many global corporations have also started to more actively support IWD by running their own internal events and through supporting external ones. For example, on 8 March search engine and media giant Google even changes its logo on its global search pages. Corporations like HSBC host the UK's largest and longest running IWD event delivered by women's company Aurora. Last year Nortel sponsored IWD activities in over 20 countries and thousands of women participated. Nortel continues to connect its global workforce though a coordinated program of high-level IWD activity, as does Accenture both virtually and offline. Accenture supports more than 2,000 of its employees to participate in its International Women's Day activities that include leadership development sessions, career workshops and corporate citizenship events held across six continents - in eight cities in the United States and in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Germany, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Spain, South Africa and the UK. Accenture also coordinated am IWD webcast featuring stories about Accenture women worldwide that ran uninterrupted for 30 hours across 11 time zones via Accenture's intranet. Year on year IWD is certainly increasing in status. The United States even designates the whole month of March as 'Women's History Month'.

So make a difference, think globally and act locally !! Make everyday International Women's Day. Do your bit to ensure that the future for girls is bright, equal, safe and rewarding."

Singer Kelis was arrested early Friday morning in Miami Beach after screaming racial obscenities at two female police officers who were posing as prostitutes. Damn. She's bossy!

The officers were working an undercover operation in South Beach, when cops say Kelis started screaming racial slurs at the women. She continued screaming and rushed toward them, and had to be restrained by friends, a police report said. According to the report, Kelis' "actions caused people walking by to stop and form a crowd. The sidewalk was blocked by the disturbance, causing people to walk in the street and causing traffic to stop."

HA! i can just picture her now..all drunk walking in her balenciaga high heels, with her girls! Saying "Ay hoe!"

Help save Darfur

Darfur has been saturated in a deadly conflict for over three years. At least 400,000 people have been killed; more than 2 million innocent civilians have been forced to flee their homes and now live in displaced-persons camps in Sudan or in refugee camps in neighboring Chad; and more than 3.5 million men, women, and children are completely reliant on international aid for survival. Not since the Rwandan genocide of 1994 has the world seen such a calculated campaign of displacement, starvation, rape, and mass slaughter.

This extremely harsh issue has been burning in my mind for a few months now, I've donated money here and there, but actually coming together as a community would be a great project to help fund money to the genocide in Africa. Hopefully this upcoming year the BB$ crew can organize a fun and productive way to fund money to these people in desperate need. If you would like to donate to these organizations please check out.

Yesterday I visited my favorite little vintage collectors shop on Fairfax. Catwalk carries amazing amazing pieces.. vintage goods collected from around the world. The owner Marie is hella cool and smart, she told me that she and her partner have been collecting since she was 14 years old, Marie is now the age of 65! But I recommend coming here if you want to spend $300+. They carry gold thigh high boots, vintage LV luggage, costume accessories, flashy dresses..etc. Cause this place looks like the closet of fashionista Madonna when she becomes an old little lady!

Last night me and Coco went to a small premiere of Black Snake Moan.. J.T, Samuel L. Jackson and Christina Ricci stars in it. To sum up the movie it was a thumbs up! I was at Barnes and Nobles yesterday afternoon to pick up a novel for the 18 hr plane trip tomorrow for the Philippines, and I picked up Vogue best sellers for spring 07' each runway picked from Milan, New York, London, and Paris. So I chose a few of my own Best Sellers! Each line consisted of next season's trends ">metallics<, short hems, huge bows and details, high waisted duchess shorts and jumpsuits galore. Legs, Legs, and more shinny legs is whats up with spring 2007'. (Baby doll dresses, A-Line, and chain-metal shift dresses will dominate!!) Also with hem lines getting much higher of course fashionable high wedge heels will fallow, with over sized totes and tiny mishaped clutches. Even though adoring each designer piece, comes a high price to pay.. but i voted that this is definitely a spring collection worth splurging on.

ANNA NICOLE SMITH; DEAD AT 39

CNN) -- Reality TV star and former model Anna Nicole Smith was pronounced dead Thursday after being taken to a Florida hospital after being found unconscious in her hotel room, a law enforcement source with knowledge of the case told CNN.

Smith, 39, collapsed at a south Florida hotel and was taken to a local hospital, according to news reports.

TMZ.com had reported that Smith collapsed at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida, and was rushed to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood just after 2 p.m. ET.

According to reports, Smith was found unresponsive in her hotel room.

Smith was involved in a paternity suit regarding the parentage of her daughter, Danielynn, as well as other disputes, including some regarding a house she stayed at in the Bahamas around the time she gave birth.

Earlier this week, Smith was included in a class-action lawsuit against a company, TrimSpa, for which she had worked as a spokesperson. TrimSpa makes a product it claims leads to substantial weight loss. The lawsuit alleges the marketing of the product, TrimSpa X32, was false or misleading.

Smith's son, Daniel Wayne Smith, died at age 20 just days after the birth of Smith's daughter. Pathologist Cyril Wecht said a lethal dose of methadone and antidepressants caused cardiac dysrhythmia, leading to his death.

"AllHipHop.com has confirmed that both DJ Drama and DJ Don Cannon have been released from the Fulton County Jail, where they were held overnight on Tuesday (January 16) on racketeering charges.

The two DJ's were freed on a $100,000 signature bond this afternoon (January 17).

They are set for a second appearance at the Fulton County Court on January 24.

The raid on the Aphillates Music Group’s offices in Atlanta were apparently the result of a partnership with a nationwide joint vice task force working to stop the sale of pirated music.

DJ Drama, born Tyree Simmons and Donald “Don” Cannon, were arrested on felony charges under the Racketeering Influenced Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO).

In a May 2006 report posted on the RIAA’s website, Atlanta was named one of 12 “Piracy ‘Hot Spot’ cities last year, along with Austin, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, Providence, San Diego and San Francisco.

The report stated that in 2007, the RIAA would “step up law enforcement training and commit additional investigative resources in all of the cities.”

Meanwhile members of the Mixtape and Internet communities continue to show their support for DJ Drama and Don Cannon, who have become champion for a much debated cause.

A petition supporting the DJ's has received over 200 signatures, since it was started around 11:00 am Wednesday morning.

Fans, fellow DJs, journalists, and even record label executives have all come forth to share their opinions and voice endorsement."

Recuperating from Saturday night?... Too bad! I woke up at 9 a.m. sharp to finally head down to my favorite Swap meet in Pasadena. The Rose Bowl to be exact! 2,000 vendors, bomb food and anything your little heart desires. Every second Sunday of each month, everyone from LA comes here to really hunt for furniture, toys, records, and of course vintage clothes. It's $7.00 bucks to get in and I suggest to go early cause the good shit always run out! Bring kicks or flat boots cause your puppies get tired from walking around the huge stadium parking lot. I only spent about $100.00 but found amazing things.. dresses, records, and snake skin ankle boots! I def def recommend shopping here on a beautiful L.A. Sunday...

Hey ya'll I know it's been awhile since I’ve checked in and that's because I spent over a week in Europe (London and Barcelona to be exact), and just got back in the States last night. During my trip I was soaking in the culture, the not-so-peachy weather, the food and vino, the art, architecture, the "scenes", the people, the music, and but of course the shopping. Full re-cap coming up in the next couple of days since I am jet-lagged to the fullest and honestly am struggling to keep awake, but I promise you I will give you a craving of some international flavors. Sure, there's no place like home, but there's no place like a new place that just tones you up and fills up your intellect and soul with some worldly experiences and knowledge. From the Gaudi temple to the London Underground aka the Tube to the backdoor all nite raves to the dopest vintage and second-hand stores I've came across for awhile. I definitely fell in love with Spain and one thing I learned as well -- GUIDE BOOKS GUIDE BOOKS AND MORE GUIDEBOOKS -- but I'm talking about the real underground weirdo "urban" ones which point out all the spots you'd be running around asking around for, but I'll give you my travel advice along with a photo story of my trip. Ok before I take a little siesta, I bring you an eye-catching ad I spotted on the Tube going from Soho back to Kennsington. Damn should have investigated some nail shops! Ever since I was the tiny age of 8, I remember hysterically crying over this huge stuffed animal in the Sanrio store..begging and pleading with my mom to buy me one Hello Kitty stuffed toy. (price $50.00..wtf?)...then over the years followed the gum dispenser, bath towels, mirror cases, and everything DAMN ELSE! This weird obsession with a cat, a frog (keroppi), and dog and twin stars?? I remember trading my Sanrio nik-nacks with my neighborhood buddies and fighting over coloring books!Now, 11 years older and somewhat wiser I currently have a Hello Kitty Toaster in my apartment and absolutely love my Jr. High boy short underwear with the HK icon on the back. Something about this girly, childish cartoon endeared it and made us love it and want everything and anything that had to do with her.
